documentary: elect lincoln (2022)

Fed up with the state of Australian politics, Australian independent senate candidate Lincoln Cook, sets out on a fact finding mission to Aotearoa NZ. In search of real leadership, a new style of politics and new policy ideas. Lincoln interviews leaders from across the political spectrum, as he follows Jacinda Ardern's re-election campaign during the 2020 outbreak of Covid-19.

My Campaign

At this Federal Election (2022) I intend to run for the Australian Senate as an independent candidate for the seat of Western Australia, fighting for common sense legislation on disability rights, homelessness and reconciliation. I’m taking on this challenge because I believe in community representation that is inclusive. For the past 15 years I have worked as a Disability Support Worker, supporting people living with disability, on their paths towards equality, equity and accessibility. Many of the people I’ve supported have been overlooked in society, and never truly received the opportunity and promise of a fair go. I aim to channel community values into practical legislative change. Australia’s diversity is its strength. We all have rights, we all want a better future, and we should all be afforded the opportunity to participate. #ELECTLINCOLN
